Description
This old chest tomb of c.1690 is located in the churchyard of Christ Church in North Shields. This is the tomb of Edward Hodgson (who was a cordwainer and one of the founders of the Church), buried 3rd November 1690; his wife Ann Hodgson who died 1689 and William Richardson, who died in 1710. The tomb is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England. -
