Bridge out, Overthwaite

  • Description

"The footbridge over Peasey Beck is missing at the point where Stainton Beck joins it to form the River Bela. A few years ago it was closed but still just about passable. Now, there is no sign of re-building and no alternative route except to 'trespass' downstream to the bridge marked in the next square. The sheep on the right were not trying to cross, just looking for a handout." Photo by Karl and Ali, 2011.
