    "....The Memorial Hall is located beside the A6 just south of Bannisdale Bridge. In the main hall it provides for 180 people [unseated] or 108 people [seated]. Tables are available for buffets and more formal occasions. There is a kitchen which itself can be used for small meetings. There are collapsible staging sections which can be used to provide a small area of elevated platform. The hall has an underfloor heating system and a well-equipped kitchen. The hall hosts a variety of community functions including social evenings, the annual harvest supper, Selside Sports, and varied fund-raising events and craft fairs. It is also home to regular user groups...."
