  • Description

C23 was built by Vickers, Barrow. She was laid down on 7 February 1908 and was commissioned on 5 May 1909. In March 1917 in the North Hinder area C23 came across a shelled Dutch Steamer S/S Amstelstroom, they came alongside and picked up the ships Second mate who was still on board. Then the ship started to sink and the boat was able to get away just in time. C23 was sold on 5 December 1920.
