    "Dated 1702. Hartley Coleridge lived here, and died here in 1849; the house also has associations with De Quincey's wife. White-washed stone rubble, 2 storeys. Elliptical chimney. Gabled porch with segmental entrance and inner side bench. 4 windows on ground floor and 5 above, all 3-light casements with arched lights. Said to have been originally built 1565, and rebuilt 1702..."
