Dolly Peel statue

  • Description

"This statue of Dolly Peel (1782 - 1857), celebrated fishwife, smuggler, nurse and "character", stands on green space adjacent to River Drive. The lean on the plinth is not a photographic fault - the plinth really does lean at about 4 degrees from the vertical!" Photo by Oliver Dixon, 2019.
