"...Opened 1 June 1863 as Bishopwearmouth National Infants School. It became Bishopwearmouth C.E. Infants some time between 1898 and 1908. It was redesignated as a Church of England County Primary Infants School officially in 1952. The school closed on 22 July 1960...." Tyne and Wear Archive
