Wall and Tower, Narrowgate, Alnwick

  • Description

"This is the west wall of a 19th century covered riding school, with stable to the north of it, which forms the east side of Narrowgate. The two storey obtuse angled tower, which stands on the corner of Narrowgate and Bailiffgate, has a depressed ogee headed doorway from the street and merlons at roof level. The wall and tower, along with Alnwick Castle, are Grade I Listed." Photo by Geoff Holland, 2021.
