Description
"Gatepiers to north churchyard entrance. Probably late C18/early C19, possibly re-used (from Raw Head-farm, the home of the Sleddall family?). Each pier rusticated stone with battered plinth and cornice; square in plan c.9 ft high. Each pier surmounted by life-size cast iron running greyhound supported on letter "S": the Sleddall family badge. Wrought-iron double gate between of c.1911. Identical gatepiers on School Lane, to west of former school...." -
