St Michael's Church, Lowther

  • Description

"Normally I'm the sort that likes to poke about in old churches, but this one failed to interest me. It certainly looks rather odd with its square topped windows and unusual profile. It is grade 2 listed and the listing mentions some medieval structure, a 17thC rebuild and extensive alterations in the 19thC - so it is a bit of a mish-mash of styles." Photo by Gordon Hatton, 2018.
