Shoreline view of Elterwater

  • Description

"Possibly the best view of the lake of Elterwater is from this point on its shoreline near to Rob Rash Woods. Elterwater is a shallow lake and it’s tree-clad, irregular, shoreline results in limited views. The lake itself was formerly a larger body of water and now comprises three more or less separate basins. The lake is fed by the River Brathay and Great Langdale Beck." Photo by Peter S, 2013.
