Work to transform Derwent Forest site underway

    In cumbria, 13th January 2020. "Work to regenerate the former Royal Naval Armaments Depot site at Broughton Moor has taken a step forward. Reiver Homes, part of Story Contracting, has started work on the access and road layout to a section of the site, dedicated to self-build plots....The development will kickstart the wider development of the Derwent Forest project by funding the start of clean-up works elsewhere on the land, which is littered with redundant buildings and remnants from previous opencast mining...."
