Disused lime kilns, West Pasture Road
-
Description
"A pair of disused limekiln, 700 metres south of Cote House Farmhouse (Mickleton). This is the site of a 19th century limestone quarry to the south of the Micklelton to Kelton road. Beside the quarry are some limekilns in which stone from the quarry was burnt to make lime. This was used to make cement and improve soil quality.
