    "Carved stone post by the B6279, in parish of STREATLAM AND STAINTON (TEESDALE District), Wackerfield, at jct, 4m SE of Spinkford Bridge, on grass verge, on East side of road, on sharp bend. Erected by the Cockerton Bridge & Staindrop turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- : Darlington / 10 / Miles : : Staindrop / 1 / Mile : Listed.
