Craggyhall Lime Kiln
-
Description
"This is a disused lime kiln. It was built in the early 19th century. It has three openings, and is lined with stone. Limestone was burnt in these kilns to make lime which was used to improve soil quality or to make cement. http://www.keystothepast.info/Pages/pgDetail.aspx?PRN=N3943" Photo by Les Hull, 2013. -
