"4/78 Nos. 76 and 78 (Railway Institute) and forecourt walls II Railway Workmen's Institute and forecourt walls. Dated 1911 (on keystone above doorway) for the North-Eastern Railway Company. Grey-red brick (3 rows of stretchers and 1 row of Flemish bond) with light-red brick and artificial stone dressings. Welsh slate roof and brick chimneys. Grey-red brick walls with sandstone coping. Main building with attached wing to right. Neo-Georgian style....." -
