S.P. Upcast Winding House

  • Description

    Deemed to be the Secondary Winding House for both shafts. Originally steam driven but electrified c.1930, described as being a parallel drum 4'6" dia. Gear driven by a 60hp Westinghouse motor at 440v, the winding rope was 3" x 100 fathom.
