    "Fountain. Circa 1877 by Geo. Smith Foundry, Glasgow (founder's marks on shafts and pedestal) for R.W. Bainbridge of Middleton House, agent of the London Lead Company, to commemorate a memorial presented to him and to his wife by employees of the company and other friends. Cast iron. Four shafts support domed canopy, with finial, over draped figure of child, with upturned urn, set in wide basin on fluted shaped pedestal...."
