The former Hartley's Brewery

  • Description

Heading back into town I found myself on Brewery Street. Confused – for I knew not of any brewery in Ulverston – I began looking around, only to see a giant Hartley's sign looking down on the town. This is the former Hartley's Brewery, taken over by Robinsons in 1982 and finally closed in 1991. Hartely's beers are now brewed in Stockport.
