Barbon Station

  • Description

"Northward view, towards Low Gill and Tebay; Low Gill - Ingleton - Clapham branch. Line closed to passengers 1/2/54; but Goods trains ran until 2/3/64 and the line was retained as a diversionary route until at least 12/64. When the station was photographed it was fairly intact and double-track well-maintained." Photo by Ben Brooksbank, 1962.
