    Evening Chronicle 9 JUN 2003. "A Newcastle park will take another step on the path to restoration when a new bandstand is moved into place. The bandstand, a copy of the original structure which stood in Leazes Park, will be delivered today and assembled over the week. Glasgow-based company Heritage Engineering took on the task of recreating the feature. They began their research by looking at old photographs of the Victorian bandstand to study its construction...."
