"Parish Church. 1868-70 by Cory and Ferguson of Carlisle. Rock-faced calciferous sandstone with string courses and clasping buttresses..... South transept has reused C12 zigzag-arched doorway from the old church and a built-in armorial stone from a tomb in the old church. Against the apse wall are 8 grave slabs and 2 Roman quern stones...." -
