Bellasis Bridge,

  • Description

"A hump backed bridge I first crossed when taken for a day in the country in a pre-war Morris 8, and cycled across in the late 1950s. It may appear older than it actually is, but there again it could have been rebuilt many times, see; http://www.bridgesonthetyne.co.uk/bellasis.html Lots of birds to be seen in this area with much water for them to make use of on flooded fields. Here a skein, or flock, of geese fly by." Photo by Chris Morgan, 2014.
