"Addycombe Cottages (Nos. 13-19 25.3.73 consecutive) with attached rear walls and outbuildings... Terrace of houses 1873 by Norman Shaw for Lord Armstrong, restored and rear walls reduced in height 1978 by Spence and Price of Newcastle. Rubble with rock-faced and margined dressings; red clay tile roofs with ornamental terracotta ridges; purple slates on rear outbuildings...."
