Earl Grey's monument, Newcastle. Grey’s Monument has been turned into The Workers' Maypole. Installation by artists Zoe Walker and Neil Bromwich. Earl Grey was the Northumberland-born Prime Minister whose work paved the way for a fairer society and is associated with the Great Reform Act of 1832.
