The tower of the former St Margaret's Church, Staveley

  • Description

Wandering round the village of Staveley I passed the interesting sight of the tower of the former St Margaret's Church. Built in 1388, by the 19th century it was suffering subsidence and the church was eventually replaced and demolished bar the tower which remains to this day.
