    "Large house, C17 and C18 with later additions and alterations. Coursed, squared rubble; front has rusticated end pilasters, bands between floors, and cavetto moulding to eaves. Graduated slate roof has corniced stone mid and end chimneys, copings and kneelers. 'L'-shaped plan....Earlier wing to rear has C17 mullioned windows of more than one build. Door on east side has coat of arms above dated 1658; rainwater head to extreme right dated 1794. Large semicircular bay window added on west side in C20...."
