    "....Two bronze plaques set into the Lych Gate at the entrance to the church , one with the names of those who died in WW1 the other with the names of those who died in WW2....This lych gate is erected to/ commemorate the men of/ this parish who,/ at the call of /King and country, left all /that was dear to them/ and endured hardship/, faced danger and finally/ passed out of sight of men/ by the path of duty/ and self sacrifice, giving /up their own lives that/ others might live in freedom/ 1914/1918" /(names)/In Memory of the men of/this Parish who died in the /1939-1945 war/(names)..."
