    "Thomas Cook was one of the world's first travel agents, he started his business in Leicester following a successful rail excursion to Loughborough in 1841. Thorncroft is the name of this house on London Road in Leicester, it was where Thomas Cook lived with his wife Marianne towards the end of his life. He died in the house in 1892."
