    "Gate piers, gate and garden wall. Mid C19. Rock-faced masonry, ashlar dressings, terracotta balusters, wood and wrought-iron gate. Ashlar gate piers with attached jambs, dentil cornice,moulded caps, and ball finials. Gates have open panels with trellis work and scrolled overthrow. Wall to left carries urn balustrade and runs to a similar pier linked by flat-coped wall (remains of the west wing demolished 1965)....."
