Berwick Hill (Ponteland)
-
Description
"This is the site of the shrunken medieval village of Berwick Hill. It was first recorded in the 13th century, and was eventually given to the monks of Newminster Abbey in Morpeth. By the mid-18th century the village had shrunk to just five buildings. Some earthwork remains of earlier buildings are still visible between gaps in the present buildings...." -
