"Built in 1897, Askham Bridge is a sandstone road bridge carrying the minor road from Lowther to Askham across the River Lowther. It is a Grade II listed building. https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101145321-askham-bridge-lowther#.WaHRUjGWw5t The foundation stone for St Peter’s Church was laid on 28th June 1832. It incorporates features from the medieval church on this site.
