  • Description

"Barns are surprisingly few and far between in this area compared to somewhere like Swaledale where every tiny pasture has its associated field barn http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2505756 This one provided us with welcome shelter from the cold west wind while we had a break. In the distance, Cross Fell looks quite cross as it broods under a cloud cap (which it did most of the day)." Photo by Karl and Ali, 2012.
