Interior rooms of Chillingham Castle 10

  • Description

"The present owner of Chillingham Sir Humphrey Wakefield, has amassed a huge collection of unusual artifacts. The old, the weird, the wonderful and the downright gruesome are all displayed informally throughout the lesser used rooms. The propeller was made by the great furniture maker Gillows, for the Rolls-Royce engine that powered the aeroplane belonging to Lord Tankerville. The rest of this display mostly relates to his family's exploits in the wars of the last century." Photo by Derek Voller, 2013.
