View down the Groat Market

  • Description

"Looking down this old street from the bottom of the Bigg Market with views of the Cathedral of St Nicholas and the castle keep. When the old town hall which occupied the site on the left here was demolished in 1973 there was a proposal to leave the space open to give fine views of the cathedral. However, the site was too valuable and a nondescript office block now occupies it." Photo by Robert Graham, 2018.
