    The lovely limestone village of Crosby Ravensworth is hidden away in the countryside between the M6 at Shap and the A66 at Appleby. The church also hides itself away behind the churchyard trees - a pity as it is a beautiful building which like many village churches seems much larger than the community would ever need.
