Featherstone Castle

    "It's been a hot dry summer thus far and the grass really was that colour.Now a country house and Grade I listed with English Heritage Building ID: 240698. It started life as an early 13th C hall-house and this is now incorporated into the west range. There is also an early 14th C south-west tower and 17th C alterations from early in the century. The whole was renovated and extended between 1812-30 for Thomas Wallace.
