  • Description

    "St Cuthberts Cross (roughly Malterse Cross shaped) on tall slender tapering shaft and plain square plinth. The main inscription is down the front of the shaft. The quotation is on the front of the pedestal. Lettering is incised and filled with lead, using sans serif capitals. ERECTED/ IN/ MEMORY/ OF/ THE MEN OF/ THIS PARISH/ WHO GAVE/ THEIR LIVES IN/ THE/ GREAT WAR/ 1914 TO 1919/ (NAMES)/ "ALL THEY HAD, THEY GAVE"....
