Quaker Meeting House & Burial Ground, Beckfoot

The Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) built a meeting house at Beckfoot in c.1690. The meeting house was rebuilt in 1745. The Meeting closed in 1940 and the building was sold in 1970 and converted into a dwelling.[1] It was heavily modified, including the addition of a porch on the front. The Quaker Burial Ground next to the former meeting house, was retained by the Quakers and is now a wildlife garden.[2]
