Old Powder House, Pace Hill, Seahouses


This distinctive stone hut, with a barrel-vaulted roof, is located at Pace Hill in Seahouses. It dates from 1886 and was built for the storage of gunpowder used in blasting for the construction of the Long Pier and New Harbour at Seahouses. The old powder house is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
