Old Milestone, wall of Christ Church, North Shields


There is an old milestone is located by the junction of Albion Road (A193) and Preston Road (A192) in North Shields. It was erected in the 19th century by the Shields & Morpeth & Branches Turnpike Trust. The milestone is embedded in the walls of Christ Church. The walls and gate piers of Christ Church are Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
