Lucy Tiplady

Hello, my name is Lucy and I am a member of the Co-curate evaluation team, based in the Research Centre for Learning and Teaching (CfLaT) at Newcastle University.  The evaluation team will be working with a sample of the school and community groups to explore their engagement with the project using a Theory of Change methodology.  This will involve talking to participants about their rationale for becoming involved in the project, their own aspirations and goals and how they envisage ‘steps of change’ working towards those goals, together with working with groups to collect evidence of impact.

Lucy has worked as a researcher within Education since 2005 and has been involved with a diverse range of local, national and international projects and evaluations.  Working collaboratively with schools and the wider education community has led to a keen interest in how research methods can be used as tools for enquiry to aid teacher and pupil learning. In the last few years Lucy has worked with colleagues within CfLaT in exploring the use of visual tools to mediate and enhance interviews.
