The foundation stone for the Primitive Methodist Chapel in Ingleton was layed in a ceremony on the 6th of July 1907. The building cost £500, and the land gifted from Mr John Thornton. The builders were Mr R. C. Homer and Mr G. Beadle, both from Ingleton. Before that Primitive Methodist services had been held in the village school.
