Brizlee Tower situated on a hill overlooking Hulne Park, near Alnwick, was completed in 1781. The 'Gothic revival' style ornamental tower was built for the Duke of Northumberland in remembrance of his wife, Lady Elizabeth Seymour, who had died in 1776. The tower is 26m tall, with 6 stages, and still stands today.
A new footbridge over the River Aln at Hulne Park, near Alnwick, was built in 2009. It replaced an earlier bridge, which was destroyed in the floods of September 2008.
