Gate House, West Allen


Gate House is a farm in Northumberland, situated by Gate House Burn, and located about 1 mile north of Ninebanks. Wellan's 1855 directory of Northumberland records Gate House in the grieveship of Low West Allen, in the ancient parish of Allendale, and the farmer at that time is listed as Matthew Summers.[1] Today, Gate House is part of West Allen Civil Parish.
