East Cawledge

East Cawledge (historic spelling: Cauledge) is a hamlet located about half mile south-east of Alnwick. There is East Cawledge Farm and a couple of cottages, situated to the north of Cawledge Burn. Whellan's directory of 1855 lists East Cauledge Park under under Alnwich South Side township, in the ancient parish of Alnwick, and the farmer at that time as Henry Marsh.[1] Today, East Cawledge is part of Denwick Civil Parish (detached part).
