Derwent Walk Express
The Derwent Walk Express is an art work by Andy Frost, which was installed in 1987 on Hexham Road in Swalwall, Gateshead. It is a two-thirds life-size representation of a steam train on top of the abutments of a 19th century railway bridge. It forms a highly visible gateway to the Derwent Walk pathway which leads to the south. The Derwent Walk Express is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
