Brougham School the Dyke House area of Hartlepool opened in 1896. The original building was located on Brougham Terrace (now used by Hartlepool Enterprise Centre).
Dyke House Secondary Modern School in Hartlepool officially opened in 1946. The building had been completed in 1939, but it's opening was delayed the Second World War. During the war the building was used by pupils from Brougham School, when their building was requisitioned for use by the military.
