Bishopside, Haydon
Bishopside is a farm in Northumberland, located about a mile north-west of Catton and 4 miles south-west of Haydon Bridge. It is situated by Kiln Burn, which joins the River East Allen to the west of the farm. Low Bishopside is shown on OS maps near the confuece of Kiln Burn and the East Allen. In the past, Bishopside Halt, to the west of the farm, was an unadverised stopping place on the Hexam and Allandale Railway, which closed in 1950. Milk from the farm (and possibly other farms in the area) was transported on the railway from Bishopside Halt.
Not to be confused with High and Low Bishopside in Nidderdale, North Yorkshire.
