  • Description

    Elsdon Tower is a modified pele tower, located in Elsdon, Northumberland. It was first recorded in 1415 as a Vicars Pele, occupied by the Rector of Elsdon. It is thought to have been rebuilt in the 16th century. Extensions to the building were made in the early 19th century by Archdeacon Singleton and it was used as a rectory up to the 1960s; now a private residence. This is a Grade I listed building on the National Heritage List for England.
